We’re an independent bookstore and cafe, which is indeed a charming thing to be, but we are also a serious business. Which means working here is serious business. If you are interested, please read the job descriptions below for the two hourly positions we hire for, and complete the employment application. In the five years since we opened our shop, we’ve learned a few things and think it best to be up front about them here:

-We do not respond to employment requests from parents for their children.

-We are punctual and we expect you to be. Leaving early or arriving late, even in the summer, even if you have another job, is not something we can accomodate.

-Retail, including bookselling, is about customer service. We welcome everyone to our shop, and we expect our employees to treat each visitor with respect and courtesy in our shop. Disrespect, and hate speech on the part of customers and/or employees is not tolerated.
